Mississippi Power Company

Moses Feagin is Mississippi Power's vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer after being elected to those positions in 2010.

He oversees the Finance, Accounting, Regulatory Affairs and Rates departments.

In 2016, Feagin added the role of chief diversity officer – the first in the company's history. He is charged with raising awareness and overseeing the company's inclusion and diversity initiatives.

He joined Southern Company in 1987, moving from junior to senior level accounting positions with responsibility for Alabama Power's operations inventory and merchandise inventories. He also held the position of systems analyst where he provided IT systems support for the company's payroll and employee information systems.

In 1991, Feagin was named supervisor of Bank Reconciliation and Inventory Accounting. Since then, Feagin has held leadership roles with Alabama Power, including Accounting Operations manager and Corporate Planning analyst, responsible for managing Alabama Power's Nuclear Decommission Trust Fund.

In 2000, Feagin moved to Southern Company Services as Generation Accounting manager. In this role, he led the effort to establish the accounting and budget organization for Southern Power Company. He was elected Mississippi Power's comptroller in 2005. In 2008, Feagin was elected vice president and comptroller for Alabama Power.

He is a native of Montgomery, Ala., and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. Feagin, a Certified Management Accountant, completed the Executive Finance and Accounting Program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the 2005-06 Leadership Gulf Coast program and a graduate of the 2009-10 Leadership Birmingham class. He is a member of the Institute of Management of Accountants and 100 Black Men of America.
