Tideland EMC offers both a Renewable Interconnections and the NC GreenPower Program.
For the Renewable Interconnections Program, while Tideland EMC does not offer net metering, we do allow members to interconnect small renewable generating projects (up to 50 kW) with our distribution delivery system. The rate paid to member generators per kilowatt hour (kWh) is comparable to the rate we pay our wholesale power suppliers. All renewable generating systems must be registered with the NC Utilities Commission.
For the NC GreenPower Program, customers can make a monthly contribution of $4 for one - 100 kilowatt hour block of green energy.
