Xcel Energy (Gas) - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs

In addition to home energy audits, Xcel Energy offers rebates to its Minnesota residential customers for the purchase of natural gas HVAC systems, insulation and water heating equipment. Residential customers may also qualify for the Home Performance Rebate program, which offers incentives for comprehensive home improvements.

Xcel Energy also offers the residential Saver's Switch program. Residents receive a bill credit during the summer months in exchange for agreeing to have air conditioning systems cycled on and off during peak energy demand periods. Residents can also receive audits at 70% less than market value to help them determine the right energy-savings improvements for participating homes. In addition, the HomeSmart program provides appliance repair, preventive maintenance and replacement helper coverage available even outside of Xcel's territory.
