We are an ISO 9001-certified company. In order to ensure the quality of our products, we employ sophisticated quality control processes. Before any production wafers are manufactured, each semiconductor layer is individually tested and characterized in our Materials Characterization department. Subsequently, by combining the already-characterized individual layers, we make a prototype product wafer. In our Device Characterization department, discrete test devices are fabricated from the prototype product wafer, and the devices are carefully examined to determine if they meet customer specifications. Production begins only after all required customer specifications have been met.

MicroLink Devices also provides first-rate technical support to customers. Some members of technical staff are among the world’s foremost experts in the GaAs field. They support customers not only during the product development period, but also during production in order to enable continuing improvements of final product performance and yield.

We also perform contract research and development. MicroLink has been a prime federal contractor on a number of transistor, laser, and solar cell development programs over the last six years. We have also supported other companies in the performance of their research and development programs. Many of the innovations developed at MicroLink have been incorporated into commercial products.
