Lakeland Electric offers a zero-interest loan program to its customers who wish to make energy efficiency upgrades. Eligible measures include windows, HVAC, heat pump water heaters, air sealing and insulation, solar PV, geothermal heat pumps, and solar water heater systems. The minimum loan amount is $500 and the maximum is $5,000. There is also a one-time filing fee that will be applied to a customer's utility bill. For a $5,000 loan, this fee has been around $90.50. Loans are repaid monthly after the project has been completed.

NOTE: This program started accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 on July 26, 2019. Applications will be accepted until the funds are exhausted.

Established in July 2004, the PA Small Business Advantage Grant Program provides matching funds to for-profit businesses with a maximum of 100 full-time equivalent employees for improvements in energy efficiency and pollution prevention. The business must also be the primary source of employment for at least one full-time employee.

ThermWise is a Dominion Energy program that promotes the use of energy-efficient appliances and practices to reduce natural gas usage. Through this program Dominion Energy provides incentives for commercial and industrial customers who incorporate energy efficiency into their facilities. All equipment requirements must be met in order to participate. These rebates are for Dominion Energy customers only, Dominion does not service all of Idaho, check to confirm your service area before beginning the application. In 2017, New York passed Assembly Bill 260, adding electric energy storage equipment and systems as eligible for an exemption from real property taxes for certain energy equipment.

Other equipment included in the exemption includes micro-hydroelectric energy systems, fuel cell electric generating systems, and micro-combined heat and power generating equipment systems (added in the 2017 bill), as well as solar, wind, and farm waste energy systems (previously included).

The Colorado Clean Energy Fund provides loans for home energy upgrades through the Residential Energy Upgrade (RENU) Loan Program. Participants must work with a RENU-approved contractor to identify energy improvements and receive a cost estimate. Customers must then apply for the loan through Elevations Credit Union.  See website above for more information.

Central Georgia EMC offers a loan program to homeowners who wish to pursue energy efficiency improvements. All energy efficiency improvements must meet Energy Star Criteria in order to qualify for the loan program. Loan amounts vary depending on the project.

Note:  In 2010, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), which has authority over mortgage underwriters Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, directed these enterprises against purchasing mortgages of homes with a PACE lien due to its senior status above a mortgage. Most residential PACE activity subsided following this directive; however, some residential PACE programs are now operating with loan loss reserve funds, appropriate disclosures, or other protections meant to address FHFA's concerns. Commercial PACE programs were not directly affected by FHFA’s actions, as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac do not underwrite commercial mortgages.
