Solar Rebates And Incentives

Atmos Energy's SmartChoice Appliance Rebate program provides its natural gas customers in Mississippi financial incentives to purchase eligible energy efficient appliances. Incentives are available for qualified furnaces, water heaters, clothes dryers, and thermostat that are fueled by natural gas. The program also offers energy audit and an energy saving kit at no additional cost to the participating customer. Rebates are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis until the funds are depleted. 

Eligibility 

To be eligible for the program, the qualifying equipment must be installed in a Mississippi home that receives natural gas service from Atmos Energy. 

Program description

The program offers a list of authorized dealers from where the customer may purchase a qualifying appliance, receive help with repair, and receive advice on energy savings. Although the program recommends purchasing appliances through the program authorized dealers, it is not a requirement. To receive a rebate, the customer must fill out a rebate application available on the program website and submit it within 30 days of the purchase date of the qualifying appliance. Atmos Energy will issue rebates in checks within 4-8 week after the application. 

Energy Audit- The program provides home energy audit at no cost to the participating customer. During the energy audit, an energy efficiency expert will visit the home and provide expert tips to save energy. Customers can call 877-616-6267 or submit an online application to schedule an energy audit. 

Energy Savings Kit- The program also provides low cost energy saving kit which includes low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators that help reduce water waste and save energy. The energy saving kit is available at no cost to the customer. Interested customers can receive an energy saving kit by filling out an online application.
