Solar Supplier Ingeteam Will Build Plant in Milwaukee

According to “The Business Journal of Milwaukee,” Ingeteam, a supplier to the wind and solar energy industries, will create a new plant in Milwaukee that has the potential to create, “hundreds of jobs.”

Ingeteam which is based in Zamudio, Spain has selected Milwaukee for its first plant in the United States.   Gale Klappa, CEO of Wisconsin Energy Corp made the announcement at Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s State of the City address as stated in “The Business Journal of Milwaukee.”  

The Business Journal of Milwaukee goes on to state that, “Ingeteam was among several companies that received a total of $35.9 million for clean energy manufacturing projects.  Nationwide, a total of $2.3 billion in the Recovery Act Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credits will be shared among 183 projects in 43 states and create tens of thousands of “high-quality clean energy jobs” while promoting domestic manufacturing of advanced clean energy technologies including solar, wind and efficiency and energy management technologies.”
