Solarpraxis hosts PV Power Plants Conference

The North American solar market is set for huge expansion over the next several years. Investors, suppliers, contractors and other energy industry professionals would do well to learn as much as possible about the new energy economy.

That’s why Solarpraxis, a publicly traded service and renewables consulting company based in Berlin, is hosting the Second Annual PV Power Plants Conference in Las Vegas Dec. 1-2.

“The biggest benefit of the PV Power Plants Conference is for attendees to learn about how the North American market will develop over the next few years,” said Solarpraxis partner Dahliah Krausse. “Attendees will hear about large-scale success stories from First Solar about the newest technology in thin film, and from Ardour Capital and K&L Gates about financing and bankability. This is just a drop in the bucket of the many presentations that will discuss the optimization of large-scale PV power plants.”

Perhaps the biggest strength of the conference is the speakers and attendees themselves. With transatlantic knowledge and experience from established solar markets, speakers from around the world will be on hand to lend their expertise. There will be no shortage of networking opportunities, Krausse noted, as well as the opportunity for attendees to form relationships with businesses, investors, and speakers from the European Union.

“The highlight last year was definitely the high-profile list of speakers and attendees,” said Krausse. “Solarpraxis looks forward to hosting an additional benefit this year—the Eclareon workshop. This in-depth workshop will provide discussion on four topics: financing, comparison between PV technologies, support policies to develop the U.S. solar market and grid connection.”

According to the Solarpraxis website, the conference is ideal for anyone involved in the solar industry, as well as journalists addressing economic, technological and energy issues.

“We also want to discuss utilities, which is why we invited speaker Julia Hamm and several additional speakers from PG&E, Southern California Edison, and International Power plc,” said Krausse.
